Board Members

Board Member Maria Ruud Møller

Lived in Guatemala as an exchange student in 1996/97 and has maintained a strong connection to the country through many return visits over the years. Based in Norway, she works as a General Practitioner and is passionate about women’s health, education, and sustainability.

Founder, Denny Fröjd

An experienced financial leader specialising in supporting start-ups and scale-ups, with expertise in financial governance, sustainability, and organisational growth. With a background across sectors including fintech, renewable energy, SaaS, and e-commerce, they bring a strategic, data-driven approach to board oversight.

They have contributed to multiple investment rounds, ensuring strong financial foundations and long-term sustainability. Known for navigating dynamic environments, they support executive teams, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and help drive impactful, mission-aligned outcomes.

Board Member Hanne Matheussen, MD, PhD

Is a researcher at KU Leuven (TARGID) and an Internal Medicine trainee at UZ Leuven. As a board member, she contributes her clinical and research expertise to support evidence-based initiatives and strengthen NordVida’s impact in health and community development.

Co-founded NordVida Foundation with a vision to bridge international support with community-led development initiatives. Drawing on extensive experience in global partnerships and cross-border collaboration, he cultivates strategic relationships that drive cooperation, cultural exchange, and sustainable impact.

Founder, Katrien Verlinden - Nuyts

Chief Executive Officer at TierraVista S.A., brings extensive leadership experience and a strong commitment to responsible development and international cooperation. She co-founded NordVida and has played a key role in shaping the organisation’s mission to empower communities and promote sustainable solutions.

Chair of the Board Kenneth Betting

Leads the Board in upholding high standards of governance and strategic oversight, ensuring the organisation operates with integrity and clarity of purpose. As an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a strong background in the human resources sector, bringing expertise in business planning, operational efficiency, and organisational development. Skilled in areas including Lean management and event coordination, they contribute practical leadership and strategic insight at board level.

With a diverse professional profile and a focus on continuous development, they support effective decision-making and the delivery of sustainable, people-centred outcomes.

Director and Founder of a financial boutique specialising in Latin American private debt, with a focus on providing tailored financing solutions to SMEs and development projects. Brings expertise in investment strategy, capital structuring, and emerging markets to support sustainable organisational growth and impact.
